Abstract:
In this paper, we investigate the impact and behavior of socially responsible investment (SRI) funds in public and private real estate markets. Recent studies offer mixed evidence on the role of socially responsible funds in firm activities. However, little is known about the real impact of socially responsible funds in real estate industry and impact of the green shift on capital raising, our project fills the gap. The impact of this work points to important future directions for accessing capital and has implications for private and public investors, developers, and property managers.
