Abstract:
This paper focuses on the scenario of antenatal care (ANC) check-ups and institutional deliveries of beneficiaries across five districts of Delhi. The study analyses the socioeconomic parameters and other major factors affecting the decisions of beneficiaries regarding maternal health during pregnancy. The primary survey conducted across five districts of Delhi reveals that a greater number of beneficiaries are not going for institutional deliveries despite completing all three ANC check-ups at government institutions. This paper will examine the reasons behind this lag, the various infrastructural and other bottlenecks, and suggest ways to check it.
