ESOS: Implications for the energy audit industry
Tilly Shaw
Journal of Building Survey, Appraisal & Valuation, 2015, vol. 4, issue 1, 50-54
Abstract:
This paper aims to provide some practical advice on how best to approach the ESOS, which will be of interest to organisations seeking compliance, and to energy auditors preparing to undertake their first ESOS assessment. It goes on to discuss how multi-site audits can be approached, and finally considers how the ESOS regulations may ultimately impact the energy-auditing industry. The paper begins with a summary of the ESOS, but does not attempt to describe it in full. Practitioners should refer to the official guidance to ensure that their own approach is compliant with relevant legislation.
