The role of librarians in DAM projects

Journal of Digital Media Management, 2012, vol. 1, issue 3, 222-228
Abstract:
From information to knowledge to metadata in digital asset management (DAM), a librarian can be key to the success of any content management system. This paper describes two case studies of how librarians are important to DAM and the organisation. It shows how librarians apply traditional and modern skills to empower organisations to leverage their strategic knowledge assets, blowing up librarian stereotypes while positively contributing to the bottom line.
