Abstract: Banks are increasingly concerned that they are being driven by others — and they are right. Regulators, customer demands and new technology are increasingly driving the agenda. This paper examines why this is so and how banks can — and should — react in order to ‘take back control’. Warning: This paper is written in plain language with little regard for readers’ sensitivities.
