Abstract: Eba and Esma launched a consultation on Guidelines on the Assessment of the Suitability of the Members of Management Body and Key Function Holders in order to provide common criteria to assess the individual and collective knowledge, skills and experience as well as the good repute, honesty and integrity, and independence of mind. The debate emerging from the consultation shows some critical aspects of the new European regulation which, in particular, may generate difficulties in application and imbalances between different national systems
