The new threshold of the Italian usury law

Abstract: The new regulation introduced in 2011 to calculate the usurious rate of interest threshold can limit some inconsistencies of the Italian usury law, but can also produce undesired effects, especially on weak borrowers, and the fixing of a rate threshold could create the conditions for the development of the usury
