A survey on the Compliance Function in Italian banks

Abstract: The survey, coordinated by the Risk Analysis and Risk Management office of ABI, was carried out in autumn 2011 and analysed the state of the Compliance function in 40 Italian banks of various sizes. The survey covered subjects such as the reporting lines of the compliance function to top management and to the board, the main areas of activity of the Compliance function and the interface between Compliance and other control functions
