Differences and Sustainability in the Development of the Municipalities in Bulgaria in the Period 1996–1998

Abstract: The study presents results from a research on the level of development of the municipalities in the country in the period 1996 – 1998 and on this base is made an evaluation of the differences between them. Average transformed integral estimations are built, on which bases is made arranging of the municipalities. Comparisons with previous periods are made. Special attention is drawn to the changes in the degree of sustainability in their development. Studied is the interaction between the development of the social – economic and human development by regions for 1998.
