Economic and Organizational Framework of Factoring in Bulgaria

Abstract: The research paper reviews the theoretic and practical aspects of factoring as a tool of commercial mediation. An analysis was made on the principal definitions of factoring and the related financial and economic problems. Stages of factoring implementations as well as possibilities for investigation of debtors on deferred payment agreements are proposed. The paper demonstrates the organizational and economic opportunities for improving the factoring in Bulgaria based on a fragmented database compiled from the activities of UnionBank AD.
