Goods as a System of Useful Parameters

Abstract: To analyze the quality of goods and their competitiveness in the conditions of globalization a combined use of the systematic approach, the conceptions of the theory of usefulness and the ideas of the characteristics theory of the goods developed by Calvin Lancaster is suggested. Studied is the process of improvement of a given good trough precising the significance of its useful parameters. Recognized is the effect of significance (respectively insignificance) of the different parameters of the good when examining it as a system. The idea for evaluation of the top usefulness of the consumer depending on the significance of a specific useful parameter of the product is analyzed. An assessment is made of the impact of the significant parameters of a good on the elasticity of demand from the price.
