Reconsidering the Role of Quantitative Patterns and Behavior Approaches in Strategic Corporate Management

Victor Hadjiev

Economic Thought journal, 2010, issue 5, 81-102

Abstract: The author has defended his thesis that the quantitative methods are applicable for routines under sustainable environment conditions. However in case of a dynamic environment the attempts to optimize the strategic management by means of such patterns result in inefficient management decisions. The optimization of the corporate behavior and strategy is believed to be subordinated to the ability of the corporate managers and members to consider the real dynamics of the changing environment, not the fictitious one. It is achieved by analyzing the interaction among the elements of the cognitive structure, generating the strategic corporate management.
