Abstract: The dynamics of the gross loans and advances of banks in Bulgaria has been examined in the 2007-2017 period. A comparative study has been made of the dynamics of the gross loans and advances of the banks in Bulgaria and the other EU member states. The major trends of bank lending in our country and the European Union have been enumerated.
