Abstract: Traceability systems represent the history of a product and contribute to the research concerning their defects and also play an important role in the capacity of retracting these products from the market. In this paper it is presented the importance of traceability in the processing, storage and commercializing of food, and also the utility of the implementation of these traceability systems.
