Der Euro und regionale Preiskonvergenz?

BCL Bulletin Analyses, 2002, vol. 2002-4, 52-55
Abstract:
This article analyses the extent to which the introduction of euro cash can bring about further price convergence in the euro area. On the basis of regional supermarket prices collected around the time of the euro cash changeover, initial results suggest that there is justifiable hope that the euro will help to reduce regional and cross-border price differences in the long term.
