Abstract: Rural women’s economic empowerment is a crucial element of sustainable development, as it strengthens their ability to support their households and contribute to their communities while advancing gender equality. This study explored the influence of microfinance strategies on fostering economic empowerment among rural women in Kyarumba Sub- County, Kasese District, Uganda. The research drew on Microfinance Theory and employed a quantitative research approach using correlation and survey designs. A sample of 197 respondents was determined from a target population of 390 through Yamane’s formula. Structured questionnaires facilitated the collection of primary data. Stratified random sampling and simple random sampling were used to select the sample. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics to address the research questions, while simple regression, correlation, and multiple regression analysis examined the relationship between the variables.
