Abstract: Analysing the Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of area, production, and yield over the course of the last few decades, this study explores the impact that climate change has had on the trends of maize production in India. There are substantial links between rising temperatures, altered precipitation patterns, and maize production, according to the research, which makes use of data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare on the subject. According to the findings, some places have been able to reduce their yields as a result of increasing sensitivity to drought and flooding, while other regions have faced a decline in output as a result of improved agricultural techniques related to climate change adaptation. In order to reduce the negative effects of climate change on maize production in India and provide food security for the country’s rising population, this research highlights the necessity of focused governmental interventions and adaptive methods.
