Abstract: This paper delves into the urban disparities of Bangalore, India, focusing on the transformation from IT hubs to slum pockets. The city’s rapid growth as a technology and innovation hub has brought economic prosperity, but it has also magnified social and spatial inequalities. Through an interdisciplinary analysis, this paper explores the root causes, manifestations, and consequences of these urban disparities, shedding light on the challenges faced by marginalized communities within the city. The study employs a combination of qualitative research, statistical data analysis, and case studies to provide a comprehensive understanding of the complex dynamics at play. The findings underscore the need for equitable urban development strategies and policy interventions to bridge the gap between Bangalore’s contrasting realities.
