Abstract: Critical thinking abilities are among the most crucial to have in this day and age of increased globalization. As a result, these abilities are taught at higher education institutions all over the world with utmost emphasis. Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language is one of the numerous fields in which these abilities are integrated. Critical thinking abilities are discovered to be difficult to teach, nevertheless. Conventional approaches used to teach the skills frequently show to be ineffective, particularly when it comes to guaranteeing cross-domain transfer. The effectiveness of multimodality as a teaching strategy and as content for critical reading and thinking abilities is covered in this paper. The outcome demonstrates the use of multimodality enhance students’ attainment of critical thinking skills.
