Abstract:
This article examines and analyzes the theoretical foundations and methodology for assessing structural changes in the Zaporizhia region. Calculating structural changes in the economy of the Zaporizhia region during the war is an extremely crucial aspect for its development and recovery.Studying structural changes during a period of full-scale invasion is a challenging task, further complicated by the lack of data and information for the years 2021 and 2022, which will be published after the deadline for submitting statistical and financial reports, as established by the Law of Ukraine "On the Protection of the Interests of Reporting Entities and Other Documents during the Period of Martial Law or State of War."For a more detailed examination of the issue at hand, the article investigates, analyzes, and compares industrial and agricultural indicators from 2019 to 2022, as well as the Gross Regional Product (GRP). The use of factual data from credible sources, calculations of indicators, and the analysis of obtained results allow for an objective assessment of the scale of disruptions in the regional economy. This enables the identification of the main sectors affected and directs efforts toward the recovery of these industries. It also aids in developing effective strategies for recovery and growth, forming the basis for subsequent decisions and programs aimed at improving the economic situation in the region. The article includes calculations of dynamics and structure, as well as an analysis of structural shifts, providing insight into the major issues and changes in the economy of the studied territories. This allows for the development and implementation of necessary changes to address these issue
