Abstract: A new study has identified the economic sectors - such as Wholesale & retail trade and Manufacturing - that are the biggest users of built-up land (stock), and those - such as wholesale and retail trade - that contribute most to land take (flow), even though this flow has decreased since the end of the 2000s. Nevertheless, the sectors that contribute the most to land take are not necessarily the most vulnerable to the “no net land take” policy.

Un nouvelle étude permet d’identifier les secteurs économiques, comme le commerce ou l'industrie, qui sont les plus importants utilisateurs du stock de sols artificialisés, et ceux, comme le commerce, qui contribuent le plus au flux d'artificialisation des sols même si ce flux a diminué depuis la fin des années 2000. Néanmoins, les secteurs qui « artificialisent » le plus ne sont pas nécessairement les plus vulnérables à la politique de « zéro artificialisation nette ».
