Abstract:
Energy, like labor and capital, has become a fundamental strategic resource in today's society and a basic production factor in the economic system. Since the 1990s, research on China's energy issues has attracted worldwide attention. This book conducts studies on several hot topics currently relevant to China's energy strategy and policy, and analyzes different policy options. As the first volume of the annual China Energy Report series, this book represents a summary of our research findings on energy strategy and policy issues. The annual China Energy Report series selects different themes according to changes in the domestic and international energy economic landscape, conducts targeted research with emphasis on empirical and policy-oriented analysis, and provides reference for relevant decision-makers. This book is suitable for government officials, business managers, faculty and students at universities, researchers, and practitioners in related fields working on energy and environmental issues.
