Energy Economics

Edited by Yiming Wei (), Jianling Jiao and Hua Liao

in CEEP-BIT Books from Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research (CEEP), Beijing Institute of Technology

Abstract: This book takes energy economics and management as its main thread and incorporates energy strategy and policy research into the framework of economic analysis. It systematically introduces core issues including energy demand and supply, energy markets, energy prices, energy efficiency, energy factor substitution, and energy trade and finance. While emphasizing foundational and systematic coverage, the book pays close attention to the development trends of modern energy economics and management, incorporates the latest advances and research findings, and strives to present the material in a clear and accessible manner while integrating it with China's practice. This makes the book more suitable for the current needs of higher education institutions in cultivating talents in economics and management, particularly high‑level professionals in the field of energy economics and management. The book can serve both as an undergraduate textbook for students majoring in energy economics and management, and as a training material or self‑study reference for university faculty and students, researchers, business managers, and government officials in relevant fields.
