Abstract:
This book is a collection of papers from the Third Cross‑Strait Academic Conference on Energy Economics. Centered on the core theme of addressing climate change, it explores viable pathways for achieving coordinated development between energy and the socio‑economy. It integrates the differentiated research perspectives and localized practical experiences of scholars from both sides of the Taiwan Strait. The studies span multiple disciplines, including energy economics, environmental governance, and macro‑regional economics, and cover a wide range of sub‑topics such as low‑carbon optimization of energy structures, emission reduction policy design, socio‑economic impact assessment of climate change, climate adaptation measures, and low‑carbon industrial transformation. The collection not only includes cutting‑edge theoretical modeling and in‑depth explorations of underlying mechanisms but also provides practical assessments grounded in the actual conditions of regions across the strait. It enriches the domestic academic literature in the fields of climate and energy, and offers valuable references for both sides in formulating low‑carbon development plans, optimizing energy regulation mechanisms, and carrying out regional energy and environmental cooperation. The volume is suitable for researchers in energy economics and public environmental policy, as well as for practitioners in related fields.
