Abstract:
Smartphones have become essential tools in modern life, evolving beyond communication to support a variety of cognitive, emotional, and social activities. This study investigates their dual role—as both tools and subjects of research—by examining their influence on human behavior. While smartphones offer benefits like instant information access, memory aids, and enhanced connectivity, they also raise concerns about attention span, emotional regulation, and dependency. This research aims to provide a balanced view of their impact on attention, working memory, and mental health.
