The purpose of the study is to determine how entrepreneurs in emerging economies like Nigeria can benefit from the use of Big Data analytics in its quest for sustainable economic growth and development, and to identify challenges, as well as, to proffer solutions to such challenges. An explorative approach is adopted in this study because much of the knowledge about Big Data is still at its early stages. Empirical information was collected from journal articles, conference proceedings and government publications. The study concluded that Bid Data analytics has a significant positive impact on the growth performance of entrepreneurs. Equally, the study found that Big Data analytics adaption and usage leads to entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and opportunity exploitation. Finally, it is recommended that entrepreneurs should evolve, adopt and use Big Data in their enterprises in order to achieve rapid growth and sustained development in their businesses which will in-turn result into sustainable economic development in Nigeria.
