Albanian Contemporary Novel as an Artistic Transcription of Physical and Metaphysical Reality of Albanian Society of “The Transitionâ€

Arben Prendi

Academic Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies, 2015, vol. 4

Abstract: In this paper are analyzed some features of the Albanian contemporary novel written and published after 1990 by the most representative authors belonging to the older generation and the younger. In a way more detailed are analyzed some thematic and motivated combinations, structuring of the characters in some of the novels of this period. Beginning from thematic and motivated plane but also by structuring the world of the characters in this paper is concluded that the Albanian contemporary novel is distanced from the socialist realism being open intensely to the poetics of the modernist and postmodernist European novel. Meanwhile just from this perspective appears this novel transcription of physical and metaphysical reality of the individual and the post-communist Albanian society.
