User‐oriented information systems

Abstract: This communication summarizes experience reported at the Second Regional Technology Transfer Seminar sponsored by the Office of State Technical Services on the development of information systems and services specially oriented to the needs of small‐industry users. The range of requirements of users and the range of services being provided are outlined. Comments are included on measuring the value and effectiveness of information systems.
