The Productivity Index in Active Service

Abstract: Mr Beer describes a productivity index that has been used in a steel works in production planning and control. He deals with the technical and administrative as well as with the statistical aspects of his subject and discusses additional management uses of the index. The subject is treated from the point of view of a works with a large number of varied and changing products.
