Payment systems ‐ the geographical dimension

Abstract: The principles of large‐scale payment systems for foreign exchange are explained and illustrated with examples from the three main timezones. Operational and legal constraints of continental and worldwide systems are outlined. Timezone‐related theoretical basics are indicated.
