STO: Stata module to toggle trace switch

Nicholas Cox

Statistical Software Components from Boston College Department of Economics

Abstract: sto (set trace on/off) toggles the current setting of the trace switch. This is useful only in Stata 6 or Stata 7. in Stata 8, set trace is pushed and popped within a program, meaning that sto has no effect beyond its own termination, and thus no useful consequence.

Language: Stata
Requires: Stata version 6.0 (not 8.0)
Keywords: programming; set trace (search for similar items in EconPapers)
Date: 1999-12-08, Revised 2003-03-26
Note: This module may be installed from within Stata by typing "ssc install sto". The module is made available under terms of the GPL v3 (https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.txt). Windows users should not attempt to download these files with a web browser.
