Resultssets to resultstables revisited

Abstract:
A results set is a dataset created as output by a Stata command. Multiple results sets can be appended or merged or combined in other ways to make secondary results sets. However, their usefulness is in that they can be converted to results plots and results tables in documents in a variety of formats. I focus on results tables in .docx documents. Converting results sets to results tables starts with decoding (using sdecode and its family of dependent packages) and ends with listing decoded variables to a document (using docxtab or listtab). However, intermediate steps may include reshaping (long or wide), appending, merging, characterizing (to deRne column headers), inserting gap observations, and grouping rows into pages in multipage tables. I illustrate this process using an example, outputting a multipage table to a .docx document, and introducing the ltop package for grouping lines into a page.
