Abstract: Agriculture in higher situated regions in the Czech Republic has a great importance, because into this group of less favored areas fall at about one half of all enterprises. They are concentrated mostly in four geographical areas: Šumava mountains, West - Bohemian area, Bohemian - Moravian highland and North - east Moravian region. The first three of them were examined and results are in this article. These parameters were examined: legal entrepreneurial form, see level of the administrative center, number of employees and specialization. The necessary data were obtained from the Czech Statistical Institution and grouped and classified in different ways.
