Abstract:
This paper deals with problems connected with the present economic slow-down in the "old" EU member states. We all hope that the integration of new member states into the EU will bring a new impetus for European production and trade. However, it is necessary to find the right internal and external factors, which will cause rapid growth and will lead the European economies into a period of boom.
