Abstract: This text is concerned with an analysis of the Czech economy efficiency and its position among the five partner economies of new member states in the EU - Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia after one year of their membership in the EU. We can manifest on the basis of multidimensional scaling methods that the Czech Republic has the highest potential to become the most powerful new member state.
