Abstract:
Regions can promote their development by implementing cooperative relationships. This can be exemplified by a regional energy supply, which is located closely to the place of residence. The most relevant criteria in this context are environmental protection as well as the supply of safe energy. Moreover, it is equally important to keep in mind the impact on the quality of life, the innovativeness of technologies and the consequences regarding the competitiveness of regions. If cooperative solutions are compared with existing non-cooperative models, it can be shown, that there is considerable potential for cooperative approaches, which are not yet fully exploited.
