Abstract: Dwindling provision for basic needs and increasingly anonymous social structures are fuelling the desire for participatory structures in the immediate living environment. Due to particular values and special governance structures, cooperative projects can contribute solutions to sustainable neighbourhood concepts in urban and rural areas. The study presented pursued the goal of a multi-perspective description of the experiences in connection with the project "Cooperative-supported neighbourhood development" carried out by the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative Association in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration. Based on this, recommendations for action were developed as part of a qualitative content analysis, differentiated according to project implementers and funding organisations. These can serve as practical assistance for future projects.
