Abstract:
We compare the short-term and long-term sources of economic growth in the SR and Austria. The analysis of short-term economic growth is based on the decomposition of demand factors and their contribution to economic growth. Long-term sources of economic growth are analyzed by the means of growth accounting methodology. In this paper we identify several important differences in the sources of economic growth in Slovakia and Austria, in short-term as well as in long-term perspective.
