Environmental policies and infant health: Evidence from China

Abstract: This paper examines the effects of prenatal exposure to the Two Control Zones policy, implemented in China to reduce air pollution, on newborn health. Estimates show that the policy is associated with improvement in birth outcomes. Codes JEL: Q51, I12.
