Abstract:
Since fifteen years, western European countries have engaged institutional dynamics aiming at reforming the urban institutions in order to adapt themselves to the evolution of urbanisation and to the territorial competition and the globalisation process. In this context, new institutions gathering political officials and representatives of civil society have been created. This article analyses this process and evaluate its impact on urban politics.
