Abstract: The suburban fabrics consist of a large part of land dedicated to gardens. These gardens constitute a local resource which could meet a growing demand for space by ?landless? cultivators. This communication examines the emergence of new actors who position themselves as garden loan intermediates, between owner and users, in France. Field surveys reveal the new methods of matching and formalization carried out by national digital platforms and local action association stakeholders. The work presented in this article shows that these new actors in land intermediation are targeting specific groups of users to them and each in their own way shift the boundaries between the formal and the informal of the land share agreement. Our results commit us to take seriously the collective dynamics that are activated around everyday spaces and the possibilitis for social, environmental and perhaps political transformation that can be invented there despite their private status.
