Abstract:
The management of aquatic environments undergoes significant changes marked by continuous legislative changes. Specifically, the preservation of aquatic environments is no longer the sole responsibility of water policies, but is extended to land policies. However, little is known on the integration of land policies in the management of aquatic environments. This article analyzes the social learning processes in land governance for the preservation of aquatic environments in the Isere department. Our results show that new partnerships aiming land uses regulation are emerging. They contribute to complexify the institutional landscape of the management of aquatic environments, thus coming into tension with the desire of the legislator to simplify this landscape.
