Les marchés du travail domestique au Sénégal

Absa Gassama

Innovations, 2005, vol. 22, issue 2, 171-184

Abstract: The markets of the Senegalese domestic work construct themselves essentially outside of the official forms of regulation but while observing them, we can distinguish the regularities that govern them. Thus, we were able to notice that the precarious professional group of the domestic workers is constituted of several segments characterized by the qualification level and of salary induce. The segments with a low qualification level have the lowest salaries and they are in the most open and unstable markets. The segments with a high qualification level are in the most numerous, in the closest and most stable markets.
