Abstract: Since the last two decades, the rise of environmental concerns has led the sector of chemistry to develop new practices and new products. In particular, new products and processes, based on biomass as renewable resources, have been developed. This is what we term the ?Doubly Green Chemistry? (2GV) (Nieddu et al., 2010). The aim of this paper is to investigate if there is convergence or divergence of the technical-scientific components of the new sectoral system of innovation (SSI) of the C2V. Our theoretical framework relates to « sustainability transition management » works (Grin et al., 2010). We have conducted this study in two areas of this sector: firstly we have focused on academic research, then on industrial innovations. Our investigations have led us to the conclusion that there is a long-term stability of the diversity of technological pathways developed in this sector.
