Repenser l'entrepreneur: de l'esprit d'entreprise à l'esprit de métier
Michel Marchesnay

Abstract:
The identity of the owner-manager (?entrepreneur?, in French) remains an unsolved question, at the both deductive (theoretical) and inductive (practical) levels. The French ?entrepreneur? prefers leadership (authority), rather than entrepreneurship (innovation), and managing rather than undertaking. The new capitalism gives again an essential role to the entrepreneur, as an individual mastering some ?craft?, fitting with the new modernity, the search for some ?one-of-a-kind? activity, and a pragmatic practice.
