Abstract:
The globalisation of the economies of those last years threatened some national productive system and in particular the sector of the irrigated rice production of Ivory Coast of disappearance. In this paper, we examined the strategies of the actors of this sector using the notion of localised agri-food system. We showed that the rice market which is segmented is not satisfied by local production. So we suggested some public measures to be applied in order to reinforce the competitiveness of small agri-food enterprises in the irrigated rice productive sector.
