Abstract:
Based on the Case of Aleppo?s ?Old City? (in Syria) Rabih BANAT and Améziane FERGUENE This article explores the evolution of Aleppo?s ?old city? in order to reveal its principal factors and consequences. The core of the text analyzes both the endogenous factors that supported the development of textile activities during the Othman era and the multiple transformations that occurred on this urban territory during the 20th century. From this analysis, we find out that ancestral activities survive till today thanks to different productive actors and local socio-culture.
