Abstract: In the field of development assistance policies, the recent years have been marked by two elements : a strong international mobilization to organize development activities around the concept of sustainable development and the acceleration of official development for health at the turn of the 2000s. We develop the following thesis : the acceleration of aid to health cannot be explained by the political, institutional and scientific consensus around the sustainable development.
