Abstract:
The paper examines decentralized cooperation based on cooperation projects between France and Algeria. The outcomes of the survey conducted in the regions of Bejaia and Tizi-Ouzou highlight the project typology, the strongest fields and the actors involved in the cooperation agreements. In order to encourage the decentralized economic cooperation supporting the projects, promoting SME development, the survey?s conclusions suggest a number of paths that may yield a fair economic development between the two partner regions.
