L’Océanie dans la mondialisation: quels modèles économiques pour les territoires français ?

Mondes en développement, 2017, vol. n° 177, issue 1, 139-154
Abstract:
The emancipation of the islands of Oceania cannot be confined to removing them from the United Nations? list of seventeen territories to be decolonized. In this context, we will seek to determine whether the MIRAB (Migration, Remittances, Aid, Bureaucracy) reference model of the Pacific economies is still up to the challenges of globalization. The aim of this article is to place the different insular economic development models in perspective in order to assess the various routes available to French territories.
